For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ unto God, among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing -2 Corinthians 2:15

Ever stand near an individual in a lift who smells like they have just soaked themselves in perfume? I have! The smell lingers on in the lift long after they have stepped out onto their desired floor. I can sometimes feel the leftover smell on my clothes. Now, ever stand near an individual who sells fish at the fish market? Both smell overpowering. The appreciation therin lies in their stimulating factor.

The fragrance spoken about in 2Cor 2:15, is one which comes forth from within a Christ believer’s ‘inner soul sanctuary’. As Christ believer’s we have a responsibility to save souls, walk the Bible teachings and to be individuals who maintain a positive attitude towards lives daily knocks. We are carriers of Christ’s fragrance. What do we do to bring out his fragrance? We believe! We believe Christ died for us. He died to deliver us from our sins. He gave us the biggest gift ever and that is peace. There is no guarantee to having an easy life, but we have a promise from “Christ” that he is always with us and he shall revolves his protection all around us the entire time we spend here on earth.

Now you believe; what next? You clean your ‘inner soul sanctuary’. You work each day on making your dwelling place fragrant. You spend time with God, his Word, his presence. You work on your words, attitude, smile, body l anguage, emotional intelligence. By reminding yourself that it is not about you, but all about “Christ”, will help you to maintain a demeanor that’s fragrant filled.Just as it is easy to spot a rose in a bunch so is it to spot a mature Christ believer from the non’s.

Mature Christ believer’s carry themselves with such Grace. You indeed shall know them by their fruits. Knowing the Word by heart does not make one a mature believer, it just makes them knowledgeable in the Word. Knowledge or theology does not save souls; it just confuses an already confused mind. In order to saves soul you need what I call; a spiritual combo pack consisting of, your fragrance, the Holy-Spirit and the Word.

Your fragrance attracts, then you preach the Holy Spirit driven Word.

One fragrance, one of its kind, made by one maker; Jesus, to be worn by believers; each smelling unique when wearing it.
