But Jesus looked at them and said, with men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God- Mathew 19:26
I have this verse inscribed on my key chain. By the end of the day, if I am feeling anxious, I just hold the key chain tightly in the palms of my hand, repeating the verse again and again. Strength strikes me like a bolt of lighting and I feel energized.
The disciples asked God, Who then can be saved? God says, “With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God. This verse is so powerfully true. No one can save another; except God. We are assigned to save others through God in us. Once saved as a believer it becomes our daily duty to proclaim the Word and save souls. Many individuals out there are struggling with their demons. They are in pain, lost, hurt, in debt, lonely, depressed. Even at times saved individuals have to tame and rebuke their thoughts. It is an enduring process. You have to gain knowledge of, practice, experience and master the truth behind Mathew 19:26. Once you have done that, you shall be giving testimonies after testimonies.
You want a baby? It’s not up to you to be blessed with one. You keep applying for jobs and none seem to be materializing. There is only so much an individual can do. Something’s are beyond our hands or means. Mathew 19:26 states that, all things that are impossible by individuals to do can be possibly done by God and much more beyond comprehension. It is a promise. The Bible is not just a book of promises; it is a book of deliverable assurance. You can rely on the verses in the Word like you are depending on your breathing. Without breathe, one has no life.
You have a debt of 20,000. You have to pay it before the end of the year. You have a family to support. You are not sure if they will renew your contract at work. You work two jobs. You are worried; thinking about it everyday, every night. You do what you can. Excellent! You have done all you can, now let God do the doable. How can I; you may ask? I say, pray, let go, talk, walk reliance. If you still can’t let go, just remember you have tried everything you can anyways; now give God’s way a try.
If one is going around saying all things are possible with God, then why is it that one worries about tomorrow? Well, I believe there is always a moment of doubt which tries to sneak in. The challenge lies in wrestling it out. Everyone has a flash of panic when things in daily life move from comfort, smooth rides to bumpy, unforeseen journey. The journey is for a season. A season cannot last forever.
Remind yourself, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials- 1Peter 1:6
